The Lost Garden of Heligan is an excellent place to visit, be you a gardener and/or a photographer. This field of poppies was seeded in 2014 to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the Great war. Unfortunately I believe very few poppies appeared at the time but they certainly made up for it in 2015. The composition and subject matter reminded me of Renoir's Poppy Fields near Argenteuil painting of the late 19th century.
