The view of the Langdale Pikes across Blea Tarn is one of the most photographed scenes in Cumbria. However, if you are prepared to rise from your bed early in the day, and arrive soon after sunrise, you can often have this spot all to yourself. The few scattered rocks in the foreground greatly aid composition. Early morning is a good time for still water reflections.
